MUA eye primer: Guest post by Nicole

Hi everyone, my name’s Nicole and today I am looking at MUA’s professional eyes primer.

MUA has some really good and very affordable products. This primer is such a bargain at £2.50, and I couldn’t be happier with the product. The packaging is simple and sleek but I don’t think it looks as cheap as it actually is.

The colour of the primer is light and quite sheer and it blends in to the colour of your skin well, evening out your eyelids and leaving quite a transparent finish. The texture of this primer is quite thick but is soft and creamy. It feels light on and is easy to blend into your eyelid. It also dries fast which is a bonus, creating a really nice base for you to apply your eyeshadow straight away. The only real problem with this primer is the applicator tip holds quite a lot of the product. If you use it to apply the primer directly onto your eyelid you will end up with far too much and waste your primer. I would advise you put a little  dab (emphasis on little you really don't need much) of the primer onto your eyelid or on your ring finger and then use your finger to blend the primer into the eyelid and definitely don't use the applicator to try blend it. This way you will get a much more even finish without wasting any.

As you can see by using the primer it does slightly change the colour of your eyeshadow, it slightly intensify's it. I don't mind this especially if the eyeshadow is a light shade, the primer helps it to show up better. I am very impressed with this primer as I can definitely see the difference when using it, my eyeshadow stays on hours longer than it normally would and it also doesn't crease (if blended in well) or flake.

So overall I think that what your getting for your money is amazing as for me this cheap eyes primer is practically faultless... Also the primer is a decent size, especially because you only need a tiny bit each time so hopefully it will last a while. You can buy this professional eyes primer from MUA online, also Superdrug stocks MUA. Just a side note, I bought this primer a few months ago but I think the packaging has now changed and called Pro- base eyes primer but as far as I’m aware the product is still the same just in case you can't find this packaging now.

I hope you all enjoyed my review, and thanks to Jess for letting me be her guest blogger today. Please come and check out my own blog Niki's Corner to see some more reviews that I have done.

Have you tried this primer? Or do you have another favourite?
