Apologies for the slightly late round up of my monthly empties post - but it's been a bit hectic this month and I've been a little all over the place. Nothing to worry about - I am back to my usual blogging self and have a decent sized pile of products I've used up during the month of July... essentially a pile of my recycling. I swear if one of my family members discovered I posted on my blog about a bunch of empty bottles and tubs they would think of me as crazy!
Kleenex Facial Cloths
I really enjoyed using these - they are essentially giant cotton pads only a little bit thinner and a large square shape. I used these in the evening to take off my makeup with my make-up remover and found one pad to be the perfect size and it made the whole process a lot easier. I'd repurchase these as they became part of my routine and were far easier than using 6 of the small round cotton pads! They retail at about £2-£3 but they are often in bargain/pound shops for a cheaper price.
Andrew Barton conditioner
I picked up this frizz protect conditioner on a whim and hadn't tried out anything from this brand before. Turns out I really like it, I loved the feel of my hair after using this and it reduced the frizz once my hair was dried. I have to be honest and say that it smelled rather strange as far as conditioners go, this almost smelled of toothpase/peppermint. Having said that, I would repurchase as my hair felt great after using this!
Lady Gaga shower gel
I'm one of those people who likes to spend the entire year working through all my christmas gift sets and using all the lotions and potions that accompany the perfumes! This is a bit of strange one, as it's BLACK! Yes, a black shower gel which gives the bubbles and water a slight grey tinge which is not the nicest of things to bathe in! It smells good - but it's not for me, a cool concept but weird all the same.
Avon Advance techniques Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner
I really enjoyed using these. A lot of Moroccan oil products can be really expensive so when I saw this duo for less than £5 in the avon catalogue I had to give them a go. I'm really impressed with the conditioner, it makes my hair feel very soft and almost silky, so that's a win for me! The shampoo was lovely, it didn't seem to do anything special but it did the job! I'd definitely repurchase these, especially the conditioner.
Kleenex facial cleansing wipes
I used up two packets of these and they have quickly become my favourite wipes to use. They are quite thick and larger than the average wet wipe (I realise that makes me sound like a complete strange person). They are stronger than other face wipes I've tried and are really wet so feel like they are actually cleansing your face rather than pushing any left over makeup deeper into the skin!
Rimmel stay matte powder
I cannot rave enough about this powder. It's around £4 and is hands down the best powder I have used for oily skin.
This is a random mascara purchased from a chinese cosmetics company - I was a bit wary about trying it but it actually turned out to be great. I know a lot of people worry about these kinds of products, and I do too - I can't see me purchasing one again but I just wanted to try this one after seeing a couple of people mention it! I thought I'd include it anyway, but I won't repurchase it - I'll stick to the highstreet.
And that's all for this months round up of empties! They'll be another installment soon featuring all of August's empties ... which will be part of my 'Blog Your Socks Off September' challenge - created by me which you can find more info on in the tabs at the top of this page.
