Miss Sporty : So matte powder

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I am a huge fan of pressed powders. As a girl who has oily/combination skin - having a mattifying powder is something that is important to me. My staple is as always Rimmel's stay matte powder which comes in at a very purse friendly £4 however on a recent trip to Superdrug I noticed a 'similar' product in the Miss Sporty section for only £1.99. I thought I'd give it a go and post a review up on my blog for you ... we all love a bargain, right?

The packaging is quite simple, it's navy blue with silver writing and it doesn't scream expensive - but it also doesn't scream cheap either, it feels quite sturdy and houses a decent sized mirror on the inside, which is something rimmel's stay matte powder lacks. So this is great for on the go in your handbag for touch-ups!

For less than £2 you get 9.4g of product, which is pretty good! Although this is the shade light, it does appear to be slightly darker than my stay matte (translucent), however once applied they basically look the same. This is an absolute bargain, my skin stays matte and my foundation stays put. It seems to do the exact same job as rimmel stay matte, lasting a decent amount of time and only really needing a touch up towards the end of the day! So, if you're looking for a great matte powder and don't fancy the rimmel one - give this a go!

Have you tried this powder before? If not, what's your favourite powder to use?

  1. I use this powder! It's as good as any other and half the price! Love your blog keep up the good work :D
