September Empties - Products I've used up

This month I have used up a lot of products, including some make-up items! I've really got into the habit of using up bottles and tubs of things before moving onto the next and my empties posts seem to be getting bigger and bigger! So here's the latest round up of products I've finished up completely in the last month!

HAIRCARE:
TIGI Catwalk - Oatmeal and Honey conditioner
I picked this up from TK Maxx a while back and its a whopping 750ml tub so it lasted me a very long time. I really liked the scent of this, it's really does smell like porridge and it isn't the usual scent I would like but I did! In terms of its conditioning qualities, it was great - towards the half way point I discovered that this really works if you spend the time massaging it into the ends of the hair. It felt hydrating and made my hair have a certain shine to it, which I really like! It's pretty expensive, but its about £10 cheaper if you buy it in Tk.Maxx! Repurchase? YES

Macademia hair mask
This was another purchase from Tk.Maxx and it was only about six or seven pounds. Unlike the conditioner, this was a hair mask so I used this once a week and left it on my hair for about 5-10minutes - only using it on the ends. Again, I found this worked best after massaging it in and it did leave my hair feeling hydrated immediately after washing it off. It wasn't a long lasting hydration though, and considering it was a hair mask I didn't feel like it helped my hair a great deal. Repurchase? NO

Avon advance techniques morrocan oil hair mask
I absolutely love this range from avon! I've tried the shampoo and conditioner which I featured in last months empties and this month I finished the hair mask! Can you tell I've been obsessed with hairmasks lately? I really liked this one, it smelled amazing and made my hair feel so soft! Repurchase? YES

 MAKEUP:
Rimmel stay matte pressed powder
Another appearance from this holy grail product, it tends to crop up every other month. I'm not sure I can say any more about it other than it is amazing and forever a repurchase.

Avon lipstick in Carnation
I can't remember the last time I finished a lipstick, but I finally finished this one. I loved the shade, it's a bright pink but nothing too 'in your face'. Formula wise this was hydrating and very pigmented and I have a few other shades from this range too. Repurchase? Probably not in this shade.

Avon Glimmersticks brow definer in blonde
Again, I don't think I've ever finished a brow product? At least not completely - but this is all gone! It's my current favourite brow product, the shade matches me perfectly and I like that its some kind of gel/pencil hybrid so it has a slight wax texture that does keep your brows in place. Repurchase? Yes, already have!

LOTIONS AND POTIONS:
Nivea daily essentials oil free moisturising day cream
As someone with oily/combo skin I was really excited to try this having heard so much about it. It worked in the sense that it didn't add any extra oils to my skin, but it also felt like it didn't moisturise in the slightest. It just evaporated into my skin and made no difference, so I wasn't a fan of this. Repurchase? No

Superdrug vitamin e hot cloth cleanser
I'm a massive fan of the liz earle hot cloth cleanser, so for me this was a cheaper alternative. Turns out I really really like it! It brightened my skin on those dull days and really helped with reducing the amount of blemishes! Repurchase? YES

Bath and body works pocket bac in bubblegum
I love these little guys, and wish we could get our hands on them here! It's nice to have different scented hand sanitizers as who doesn't need to sanitize?! Brilliant idea if you ask me. Repurchase? YES

Original Source lime shower gel
Another appearance of this product! This really does smell amazing, pure lime and so refreshing and zingy! A constant repurchase!

Phew! Well done if you made it this far, I feel like this was a successful month in terms of using things up! Have you tried any of these products?

  1. This was a really interesting post! I never thought of thinking about a product once it was used up and then discussing your likes and dislikes, so this was a great read for me. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me to think more about a product once it's gone, instead of just throwing out the empties!
