Shopping the Stash #4

uk blog shopping the stash makeup spending ban

Wow, I can't believe it's been 4 weeks of these Saturday shopping the stash posts - I hope you have enjoyed them as much as I have. Myself and Lauren have shopped our stash for the duration of our spending ban, which is due to finish at the end of April! It's actually been pretty cool to rediscover products and try out new (old) products from my makeup drawers, it's definitely reintroduced me to some favourites. So here's what I've been trying out this week:

I've been loving this lip combo from avon's luxe range for a nice change from my usual colours. The luxe lipstick in plum is a soft subtle matte plum shade that is also glossy and hydrating to apply. I've also been really loving the luxe lipgloss in the shade romantic rose which is a shimmering nude/soft peach shade that is great on top of the lipstick but also lovely to wear on its own too. I like that it's not sticky at all, I just wish it smelled yummy. I can't find the luxe range online now, so I guess they've stopped it but you can find it on ebay! I've also been reaching for my Soap and Glory Lid Stuff palette in 'Off the Wallflowers' too, particularly the soft matte lilac shade and the shimmering rose gold which work suprisingly well together and are something a bit different than my everyday colours.

For face products I've been using my Soap and Glory Kick-Ass Concealer (reviewed here) which has been awesome for under-eye dark circles, thanks to not getting much sleep at all! It is a trio of products; a peach concealer to conceal darkness, a yellow one for blemishes and a setting powder. Definitely worth picking up if you haven't already. Another product I've completely rediscovered this week is my Maybelline dream bouncy blush in Iced Coffee which I completely forgot I even owned. These never made it to the UK, but I think I got this from a blogsale last year and it's just a gorgeous muted pink/bronze shade that isn't too full on. I really like the texture of these, very strange but lovely to apply.

If you'd like to see more of these posts after my spending ban, then let me know and perhaps I can do them regularly! But for now, make sure you head over to Lauren's Blog to see her final shopping the stash post.
