Beauty favourites: May

may beauty blog favourites

This month I've been all about keeping the makeup pretty simple and minimal, and I think my favourites reflect that quite well! I've pretty much used the above products on a daily basis and I've found myself reaching for the same products over and over again - always a sign that I really do like them!

For face products I've been loving using a mix of my Maybelline fit me concealer and Collection lasting perfection concealer.  The maybelline one is very creamy and great for the under eye area, although I do wish I had found an even paler shade (mine is in the shade 10). The collection concealer is an oldie but a goodie; it's great for blemishes and hiding spots but isn't great for under the eye area as it is quite drying. Hence why I like to use both! The only thing that bugs me is the bloomin' packaging - why can every other brand manage to create black writing on their packaging that doesn't rub off all over your hands? Another face product I've enjoyed using lately is the elf studio stipple brush which is great for applying a pressed powder as it helps the powder to give a natural non-cakey finish!

I've also been enjoying using my £1 mascara from Primark, which is great for everyday and works well at making lashes black and fuller looking! I really can't grumble for £1 - definitely worth checking out next time you're in Primark. On my cheeks I've been gravitating towards this beautiful Nars blush in the shade deep throat (review here), which is just the perfect shimmering pink! Speaking of pink, this Rimmel colour rush balm in the shade '100 give me a cuddle' is lovely; it smells gorgeous, feels smooth and nourishing to apply but also packs on the colour and lasts a good few hours!

My favourite scent of the month has definitely been this Cate scent from Ted Baker Sweet Treats (reviewed here) which is beautiful, long lasting and great for throwing in a handbag! Finally I've been loving using this Nuxe Reve De Meil honey lip balm, which is incredible! To me it smells more like chocolate orange rather than honey, but it's a beautiful scent and is quite possibly the best lip balm I've ever tried. Well worth the £10 price tag, it's like a little miracle treatment for lips. Seriously good stuff.

Have you tried any of these products? Which ones do you like?
