Let's talk about red nail polish; it has taken me forever to find a few reds that I actually like but there's just something about wearing red nail polish. My first pick is from Maybelline colour show range, reasonably priced at £2.99 (link) in the shade downton red, a rich deep red, perfect for an evening look or if you can't quite get on with a bright true red. Another one for the girls who aren't quite sure about wearing a true red is Rimmel "I Love" Lasting Finish nail polish (066 Cranberry Zest), which is almost a mix between fuschia pink and red, very wearable fun and bright and it looks amazing on toes on holiday - again, only £2.99 (link).

This glitter top coat in 'Red Hot' is from NYC and again, is very affordable! It's a mix of silver and red glitter with different sized sequins which looks lovely over a whole range of polishes. I love putting this over other red shades and it's great for adding some sparkle! Next up is  Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Polish No.24 Rouge Escarpin which is a gorgeous high shine polish with brilliant staying power, especially for the £5 price tag! Finally is a signature pillar box red from Barry M Nail Paint - in the shade Bright Red (262). This is a perfect budget friendly nail polish if you're looking for a classic no fuss red to wear on your nails!

So, what's your favourite red nail polish? Have you tried any of these?
