5 cheap/budget lipsticks worth buying

With so many drugstore/budget friendly makeup brands to try, it's easy to be overwhelmed and end up spending just as much money on trying several different items compared to one you know works. So here's a quick round up of 5 budget lipsticks all from the drugstore that are worth buying - plus they are all under £5!

First up is MUA matte 'Wild Berry' (£1) which is probably one of my favourite ever lipsticks! MUA matte lipsticks are all £1 each and come in a great range of shades, you can see my full collection post here. Wild berry is a subtle dark purple that is great if you want to wear a darker colour without looking too 'vampy'. Although a matte lisptick, it isn't drying on the lips. A definite steal for £1!

Miners matte effect 'Wonderland*' (£3.49) is another great matte lipstick from the drugstore. Miners can be found both online and in chemists so definitely worth checking out their online store if you have nothing near you. The matte effect lipsticks are shimmer-free shades that are also really moisturising and smooth to apply; Wonderland is a gorgeous orange toned coral that is perfect for summer! This is actually the lipstick I am wearing in my profile image too; it can be worn subtly or built up to a bold lip colour - one of my favourite bright shades to wear and a great budget lipstick to own!

Elf 'pink minx' (£3.95)  is a fairly new addition but a good one. In general I love the studio lipsticks by Elf as they are moisturising, beautiful shades that apply really nicely. Pink minx is almost like a muted bright pink that looks great on the lips as a your lips but better shade! It's a great everyday lipstick and a bargain price! If pink isn't your thing, I'd definitely recommend checking out other shades in this range.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick 101 (£3.99) is a cult favourite shade that everyone seems to love; including me! It's a blue toned pink that actually works with my skin tone. The formula is lovely, it's matte but not drying and packed full of colour in one swoop - smells pretty nice too. This shade is like the darker version of mac creme cup - so if you like that you'll love this.

Avon 'wine with everything' (£5) is another dark shade I love! This dark wine purple shade is great for using as a sheer, subtle colour or packing on for a 'wow' shade. It's dark and vampy but also bright if that makes sense. The formula is lovely, long lasting, easy to apply, doesn't bleed and is moisturising. Another great lipstick for a low price!

What's your favourite budget lipstick?
