Eucerin Dermo Purifyer cleanser review

For the past few weeks I've been trying out this Dermo Purifyer cleanser from Eucerin. This cleanser is targeted to oil-prone skin and I have oily/combo skin so I was excited to try this. It boasts a balanced formula with excellent skin tolerability designed to help those with oily skin and blemishes. The cleanser is actually a soap-free gel, clear in colour that is supposed to eliminate sebum and remove dirt and make-up in one step.

I found that this was gentle on my skin, and didn't aggravate it at all - which is great as I struggle with sensitive skin sometimes too. In terms of make-up removal I thought this did a great job at removing most makeup - although it isn't suitable for the eye area so I still had to go over my eyes with my micellar water to ensure all mascara was removed. So regarding the products claim to be a one step makeup removing cleanser; if you wear eye makeup that's not the case as you should 'avoid eye area'.

In terms of it's oil and spot reducing qualities I did feel as though this helped somewhat with blemishes. For the first 2 days or so, I noticed I had a few more small spots than usual but soon after that they cleared, so I'm guessing this was the cleanser getting to work on my skin! Overall I do think this has helped with reducing breakouts. It's not a miracle cure, but it definitely does help. I haven't noticed much difference on the oily skin front though, but it did leave my skin feeling very refreshed and smooth to the touch without leaving it red and tight.

It's easy to apply by just placing some of the gel cleanser into your hand, massaging all over the face until the gel lathers and then rinse with warm water. It's fragrance free, gentle on the skin and £9 for a 200ml bottle. Heads up, Escentual.com are having a 1/3 off sale on all French Pharmacy including this cleanser!
