It's not very often that I jump on the bandwagon when it comes to beauty products (haha, I joke), of course I do! This is probably the most talked about lip balm in the blogosphere and I couldn't wait to try it for myself! Nuxe Rêve de Miel Lip Balm retails at around the £10 mark depending on where you purchase - FYI it's currently £6.33 on Amazon from Escentual!
This honey based lip balm is very thick and almost wax like in the jar, not at all what I expected. You can smell the honey, but it's not over powering at all - which is great becayse I really dislike honey and anything honey scented, to me this smells a bit like chocolate orange... anyone else get that? It's a solid balm that you apply with your finger and massage into your lips to nourish them and prevent dryness and chapped lips. It has an almost grainy looking texture yet applies as a smooth nourishing layer that really sinks into the skin and soothes. It's definitely one you want to apply at night time and it's great for keeping on your bedside table.
I find applying this just before I go to bed leaves me with soft, moisturised lips which helps applying lipsticks much easier! It's definitely a treat and very luxurious, along with it's beautiful glass jar packaging. This one is certainly one of those 'worth the hype' products and if you haven't already tried it I'd recommend you do - although once you've tried it you won't be able to live without it. I'll definitely be purchasing another once this runs out - although you do get a whopping 15g of product in the small jar!
Have you tried this cult beauty fave?
