When it comes to creme blushes I have to say I'm not the biggest fan, I usually find that they just don't sit right on my skin! However, my opinion changed after trying this Girls on Tour Lip and Cheek Creme from Essence Cosmetics in the shade 'Big Apple'. My lovely friend Lauren who is a makeup artist and blogs (see here) sent me this over from Ireland, but you can also finally get your hands on Essence in the UK now too! I haven't found anywhere local to me yet, but there are definitely Essence stands in selected Wilkinsons. Praying my Wilkinsons gets it soon!
Anyway, onto the product. It's a diddy little clear pot of blush so very compact and ideal for fitting inside a makeup bag. The shade 'Big Apple' is a rosy pink with a hint of coral that would work well on various skin tones. I love the shade and you can see that from gently swatching it, there is a lot of colour pay off with the creme formula. The formula is fairly wet to touch but once applied to the cheeks it almost sets and finishes like a powder blush - so it isn't sticky to the touch which is what I generally hate about creme blushers. I love that it adds sheen to the skin but isn't oily or shiny looking.
If you can get your hands on Essence - definitely worth checking out, they are really affordable and although they appear to be targeted towards a younger age group there are definitely some gems in their makeup line! I'm keen to try their powder blushes next - the shades are beautiful!
Have you tried Essence before?
