The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review

When it comes to cleansers, I typically use some kind of lotion cleanser like a hot cloth cleanser or a cleansing water like this garnier one. So, when the whole cleansing oils took off it didn't even cross my mind to try them out - especially given that my skin is quite oily! But, so many people have said that this Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil is amazing, so I couldn't resist. It comes in at £10 but there are usually some discount codes floating around for the Body Shop, I think I got mine for 40% off!

I have to say, being skeptical about it effecting my skin and leaving it oily - I am pleasantly surprised. I personally didn't find my skin to be any more oily than usual so I wouldn't worry about that. In terms of removing makeup this did an amazing job, it made the makeup just slide off my face and was gentle enough to use around the eye area. You only need around 2-3 pumps massaged into your face and then you just rinse away.

I sometimes need to go over my eyes again, just to remove any stubborn mascara or eyeliner if I've worn quite heavy makeup - but on the whole it does a brilliant job. It has a natural, clean scent that isn't offensive or over powering to use. It leaves skin feel cleansed and smoothed without feeling stripped of moisture. So I'd imagine that this would be suitable for normal/dry skin just as well as oily/combo skin.

If you're looking for a gentle cleanser, suitable for sensitive skin that removes makeup and also soothes skin then I'd definitely recommend checking this one out from The Body Shop.
