We all want to have brilliantly white teeth and a beautiful smile. However, a professional treatment of teeth whitening is an aesthetic procedure that cannot be afforded by anyone. On the other hand, if you do not want to spend money for the treatment of teeth whitening, or visit your dentist or orthodontists and if you are a little bit skeptical when it comes to this procedure, there are several things you can do yourself for an amazingly white smile. What each of us knows is the fact that white teeth are best protected by a quality toothbrush and toothpaste, chewing gum with xylitol, fluoride water, lots of fruits and vegetables and an inevitable dental floss. Your teeth will be whiter if you can resist coffee, tea, coca cola, red wine, sweets, and especially cigarettes. If you mix baking soda and some salt, you will get one excellent home remedy for the health of your gums and whiteness of your teeth. A similar effect will be reached using a mixture of lemon juice and salt. Use it every morning and evening for cleaning your teeth and rinse well with water afterward. There are many more tricks and secrets that can help you bring your teeth to perfection. This list will bring you some of them.

  1. An apple a day…

We all know that apples, in general, are good for health. However, they can also help in the process of teeth whitening. Eating raw fruits or vegetables, such as apples, pears, strawberries, celery or carrots, causes the secretion of saliva that destroys bacteria and keeps teeth white and healthy.

  1. The more often you rinse your mouth – the better

Whenever you can, rinse the oral cavity with water. This way, you will get rid of food residues, but also prevent the creation of pigmentation on your teeth. Always have a mouthwash at hand. This will simultaneously clean your teeth and solve the problem of bad breath after-meal.

  1. Chewing gum as first aid

When your toothbrush or mouthwash is not at hand, take a chewing gum with xylitol, a sweetener that replaces the sugar. Even in very small amounts, xylitol destroys bacteria that are formed in the oral cavity.

  1. Use baking soda more

Mix a spoonful of baking soda, a little salt and a few drops of apple vinegar. Apply the mixture to the brush and wash your teeth as you wash it with the regular toothpaste otherwise. After that, wash your teeth again with your toothpaste. You may use this mixture once a week.

  1. Whiten your teeth professionally, but at home

You can also whiten your teeth by using a method that works similarly as a professional one, but it is less harmful. You need a Hydrogen peroxide of 10 to 16 percent strength in the form of a gel and a dental splint, a thing that looks like a prosthesis and can be ordered from your dentist. Apply the gel to it, place it on the teeth and hold it overnight. If you have sensitive teeth or gums, avoid whitening your teeth in this way.
